Solitude Space
by Vlad Chlek

Solitude Space is a music piece, composed as a reflection to the stories shared in the Pandemic Diary platform. Vlad Chlek recreated symbolic aspects of the emotional palette of the collection, in a audio piece complemented by visuals. He focused on expressing the feeling of ‘emptiness’ during the period of social distancing along with obscurity and fear as solid parts of this collective experience. To him, the biggest challenge during the period of isolation was the constant self-reflection and the lack of social interactions. Solitude Space expresses these challenges but also potential alternatives: the quest for balance and comfort. Solitude Space unravels in these different levels as a symbolic and physical space.
