ACCESS TO DREAM SPACES

ACCESS TO DREAM SPACES

Every individual has dreams. Although dreams are not relating to one’s conscious behavior or thinking, they carry many different meanings, rhythms, layers, forms, paradoxical and surreal statements that are timeless, symbolic and connected to the individuals’ collective unconscious.
In my opinion, human unconsciousness is anin nite and unlimited world to explore anddreaming is one of the keys to enter it.

In this project, I focused on accessing dream- spaces (inside and outside) by creating simple,
un-representational and ongoing movements (turning, headstand, stand still, bubble making) in two different contexts (Iran-Europe) and sixdifferent cities (Brussels-Shiraz, Tehran Munich,Tilburg-Ardebil). I made three dream spaces:Lucid dream, Dream stand, Dream of dreams. The dream scenes created in-between these displacements of public spaces and the circle is a main symbol that shaped my performances and connected them. My aim was to create a free form of poetry with my body in the space and experience being trance in order to break time and space through the movements. Accessing to random audiences and facing accidents in public spaces helped me to go beyond my comfort zone and dream more.
