Hello.

Welcome to the online gallery of the Master Performing Public Space.

On this platform we collect and present the projects created by our students throughout our one-year Master program.

RESPONSES

RESPONSES

This is a moment to express yourself, a moment of mindfulness, of meditation and you can stand still the entire time. However you feel like you need to express yourself, this could be a way of claiming back something someone stole from you that is entirely yours and a way to respond to them, in the moment, later that day, or next year. It is never too late to have your response.

As a response to the catcalling and verbal street harassment women face on a daily basis, all over the world, Diana has created a series ofmovements in a traveling lab, free and open to the public, shown through video and paper instructions that allow those who experience these happenings to have a platform to respond with. Her work is about bringing awareness to and fighting back against the constrictions and restrictions in public space and specifically gender norms and boxes that we fit into that are prescribed by (different) societies. This work is about claiming (back) the power of autonomy over your body, in the public space, responding in your own, unique way.

SPECIAL THANKS
David Limaverde, and especially to all of my colleagues.
