CLASS 2021/22

“Peripatetic (Dis)Courses” is my artistic research project, on how to create collective participatory designs, using walking and conversing practices, with the aim to transform Public Spaces into Agonistic Spaces and create conditions for the emergence of potential social alternatives. Through these designs, the participants are able to engage into conflicts, in a verbal and non-verbal way, to create and express publicly potential social alternatives and finally to experience the embodiment of Agonism, through practices focused on walking relations and forms of debate.

Yannis Varvaresos

Yannis Varvaresos is an actor, and theater director based in Greece, with a background in contemporary dance and music. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1989, he holds a BA in acting and two Master's degrees in "Theatre directing and Acting", as also in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Since 2021, he attends the Fontys University Master’s Program “Performing Public Space” in Tilburg, NL, where he conducts his artistic research project “Peripatetic (Dis)Courses”, using walking and conversing as artistic practices.
